Public-evidence storefront audit

I tell you what is costing you orders,
and hand you the proof.

A Shopify audit that shows its working. Every finding names the page, quotes the raw evidence, says who fixes it, and gives you the condition that closes it. If you want to check a claim, the file it came from is in the bundle.

What arrives

Three files, one audit

01

The report

A PDF with every finding in full: evidence, expected state, why it costs you, the fix, the owner, the effort, and the condition that closes it.

02

The walkthrough

A click-through deck of the same audit, ordered so you meet the biggest problem first. Opens in any browser. Print it and it becomes a PDF.

03

The evidence bundle

The raw captures behind the claims: the page as fetched, the response headers, the catalog feed pages. Each file listed with a digest so you can verify it yourself.

The part most audits skip

Your catalog is public. I read it.

Shopify publishes your products and collections at an open address. No login, no admin access. Almost nobody auditing your store bothers to look, and it is where the expensive problems sit.

Found on a real storefront during testing, from the public feed alone:

  • Four affiliate discount tiers left publicly browsable — Secret Sale 20% Off through 50% Off. Any shopper who finds them learns the ceiling of the discount, and full price becomes a number to wait out.
  • A collection published under the name 98.
  • A paid line item titled Free Returns Coverage, priced at $0.80, sitting under a banner that promised easy returns.

A homepage review cannot reach any of this.

Finding structure

Every finding answers the same five questions

What was found
The observed condition, quoted. Numbers where there are numbers, the raw string where there is a string.
What it should be
The state that would close it, stated as a threshold rather than an opinion.
Why it costs you
The mechanism. Not "best practice" — what the shopper actually does when they hit it.
The fix
Specific to your store. Where the lab data names the third party responsible, the fix names it too.
Done when
The check that proves it landed. You should not have to take my word for it.
Sample deliverable

Read the actual output

This is a demonstration store, not a customer. The brand, the products and the numbers are invented so the full format can be shown without exposing anyone's storefront. The structure is exactly what you receive.

Scope

What this audit does not claim

An audit that promises a number it cannot compute is selling you the number, not the audit.

Who runs the audit

The method is the credential

I am not going to tell you I have audited a thousand stores, because I have not. What I can tell you is how this audit is built, and you can check all of it in the sample.

It runs on tooling I wrote

The checks, the lab sampling, the catalog rules and the report itself are one system I build and maintain. It has been run in batch against 20 real Shopify storefronts to shake out the cases that break a scan.

Nothing is asserted twice

Absence claims are checked against the server HTML and against the page after its scripts run, so the report does not tell you something is missing when your theme adds it on load.

Lab numbers are sampled, not snapped

Performance is reported as the median across repeated runs with the observed range printed beside it. A single run is noise and is not sold to you as a measurement.

You are told what I did not see

Every report carries its own limits section. Where a check could only confirm presence and not behaviour, it says so in the finding rather than in a footnote.

Before you order

Questions I get asked

Do you need access to my store?
No. A public storefront URL is enough. If your store is password-protected, send the storefront password and nothing else.
Will you guarantee more sales?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. I find friction that is visible in evidence and testable after you ship it.
Do we need a call?
No. Everything runs in writing through Fiverr messages. That is a deliberate choice, not a limitation.
Can you fix what you find?
Implementation is quoted separately after you approve the backlog. The audit is not a sales funnel for a build.
How much of it can I do myself?
In the sample, 14 of 23 findings are owned by the store rather than a developer, and 8 are small.
